I began my career as an entrepreneur and have owned several businesses in my life. Being a business owner puts me in a unique position to serve small businesses and startups.
Currently, I teach a graduate-level class in Media Organizations & Entrepreneurship at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
For the past seven years, I served as an intrapreneur running internal startup programs at the Cronkite School. Among these, I assisted Dan Gillmor in launching and operationalizing the annual Scripps Howard Journalism Entrepreneurship Institute, project-managed the Cronkite School’s recent Web redesign and served as a judge for Arizona State University’s Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative and the Cronkite School’s Knight-Cronkite Alumni Innovation Grant competition.
I am a graduate of the Cronkite School’s mid-career master’s program in Digital Media Entrepreneurship, where I studied under mentors Dan Gillmor and CJ Cornell.
